The owl’s chest opens into a zodiac dial ringed with the twelve astrological signs, framed by feathered wings and two wide gear-cut eyes. A slender pendulum swings from the side, and the exposed gear linkage stays visible from every angle.

Build experience

Around 102 laser-cut parts across four wooden boards, assembled in roughly an hour and a half. Parts push-fit together, and the illustrated instructions take you from the frame through to fitting the movement and setting the hands.

Display & decor value

At 27 cm tall it reads as a sculpture first and a clock second. The pale basswood and fine engraving sit well on a desk, a shelf, or a mantelpiece, and the swinging pendulum keeps the piece quietly alive.
